Leviticus 1
The Lord called to Moses from the tent of the Lord's Presence and gave him the following rules for the Israelites to observe when they offer their sacrifices.
If any man brings an offering, it may be one of your animals or your sheep or goats. If you are offering one of your animals as a burnt offering, bring a male without any defects and present it at the entrance of the tent of the Lord's Presence so that the Lord will accept you.
You are to put your hand on its head, and it will be accepted as a sacrifice to cover your sins. He is to kill the male there, and the priest, Aaron’s sons, will present the blood to the Lord and then sprinkle it around the altar at the entrance of the tent.
He will cut animal into pieces and the priests will put fire on the altar and arrange firewood and light it and put on it the pieces of the animal, including the head and fat. They will put on the fire the pieces of the animal, including the head and the fat and wash the internal organs and the hind legs, and the priest will burn the whole sacrifice on the altar. The meaning of this food offering is pleasing to the Lord, (His love totally consuming and erasing from the universe forever, the sins of the person and replacing them with the infinite perfections of His Son’s perfect being.)
If the offering is one of your sheep or goats, it must be a male without any defects. Kill it on the north side of the altar, and the priests will sprinkle its blood around the altar, cut it into pieces with the head and the fat, wash the inner organs and legs with water and burn all of it on the altar, this offering is pleasing to the Lord.
If you are offering a bird as a burnt offering, it must be a dove or a pigeon. The priest will present it at the altar, wring its neck, and burn its head on the altar. Drain its blood at the side of the altar, remove the crop and feathers and throw them away on the east side of the altar where the ashes are put. He will take hold of its wings and tear its body open, without tearing the wings off, and then burn it whole on the altar. The offering is pleasing to the Lord.
Leviticus 2
When you offer a grain to the Lord, grind it into flour, put olive oil and incense on it and bring it to the priests, Aaron’s sons. The priest will take a handful of the flour and oil and all of the incense and burn it on the altar as a memorial on the altar made by fire a sweet fragrance to the Lord.
The rest of the grain offering will be Aaron’s and his sons. It is most holy of the offerings made by fire to the Lord.
If your offering is baked in an oven, make it unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil or unleavened wafter anointed with oil.
If your grain offering is in a pan make it loaves made of flour mixed with olive oil or thin cakes brushed with olive oil. Crumble it up and pour the oil on it when you present it as an offering.
Bring it as an offering to the Lord and present it to the priest, who will take it to the altar. The priest will take part of it as a memorial offered to the Lord, and burn it on the altar. Its fragrance is pleasing to the Lord.
The rest of the offering belongs to the priests; it is most holy, since it is taken from the food offered to the Lord.
None of the grain offerings you present to the Lord can be made with yeast; never use yeast (yeast puff up, a symbol of pride, the cause of mankind's fall) or honey (represents man's natural sweetness, not he Lord's infinite essence) in food offered to the Lord.
Bring an offering of first grain you harvest each year. These are not to be burned on the altar to the Lord. Put salt on every grain offering, because salt represents the covenant between you and God. (You must put salt on all your offerings.)
When you bring to the Lord an offering of the first grain harvested, offer roasted grain or ground meal. Add olive oil and put incense on it. The priest will burn that part of the meal and oil as a memorial, and also all the incense, as a food offering to the Lord.
This is about us remembering Him. He always remembers us, holding up our life and breath everyday of our lives. Job 12:10, Isaiah 49:16 I have carved you on the palms of My hands. Acts 17:25 who gives to all life and breath and all things.
These are all symbolic of Jesus. I am the bread of life. He that comes to me will never hunger. He that believes in Me will never thirst. John 6:35
Leviticus 3
When any of you offer one of your animals as a peace offering, make it an ox, a bull or a cow without any defects. Put your hand on the head of the animal and kill it at the entrance of the tent of the Lord's Presence. The Aaronite priests will sprinkle the blood around the altar. The fat and the innards, the kidneys and their fat, and the best part of the liver. The priest will burn all this on the altar along with the burnt offerings, a sweet fragrance to the Lord.
If he offers a sheep or goat for a peace offering, it is to be male or female without any defects. (because if portrays Jesus who is infinite perfection). If you offer a sheep, put your hand on its head and kill it in front of the tent. The priests will sprinkle its blood around the altar and present all the fat tail cut off near the backbone, all the fat covering the internal organs, the kidneys and the fat on them, and the best part of the liver. The priest will burn all this on the altar. It is the bread offering to the Lord. (God loves us with all His infinite heart. This is love going back to Him, the first and greatest thing He wanst from mankind. Matthew 22:37, 38).
If you offer a goat, put your hand on its head and kill it in front of the tent. (This portrays all our bad going into the sacrifice, and all the good of the Lord coming into the offerer). The priests will sprinkle its blood around the altar and put all the fat on the internal organs, the kidneys and the fat on them, and the best part of the liver. The priest will burn all this on the altar as a food offering pleasing to the Lord. All the fat belongs to the Lord. No Israelite may eat any fat or blood; this is a rule to be kept forever by all Israelites wherever they live.
He abolished in His flesh the enmity (intense hostility between enemies), the law of the commandments, to make in Himself one new man, so making peace. Ephesians 2:15
Leviticus 4
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a soul sins through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord, things not to be done, and does them, if the priest that is anointed sins the trespass of the people; then let him bring for his sin that he sinned, a young bull without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering.
Let him bring the bull to the door of the tent of the Presence of the congregation before the Lord, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and kill the bull before the Lord.
Then the anointed priest will take of the bull’s blood and bring it to the sacred tent of the congregation and the priest will dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle the blood seven times before the Lord, before the veil of the sanctuary (holy).
And the priest will put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the Lord, which is in the tent of the Presence of the congregation, and pour all the blood of the bull at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tent of the Presence of the congregation.
And will take all the fat of the bull for the sin offering, the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, and the two kidneys, and the fat on them, which is by the flanks, and the membrane above the liver, with the kidneys, he will take it off the bull of the sacrifice of the peace offerings and burn it on the altar of the burnt offering, as it was taken off from the bull of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest will burn them on the altar of the burnt offering.
The skin of the bull, and all his flesh, with his head, and with his legs, and his inwards, and his dung, the whole bull he will carry out of the the camp to a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn him on the wood with fire. Where the ashes are poured out he will be burnt.
And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done something against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which shouldn’t be done, and are guilty. When the sin, which they have sinned against it, is known, then the congregation is to offer a young bull for the sin and bring him before the tent of the Presence of the congregation.
The elders of the congregation are to lay their hands on the head of the bull before the Lord: and the bullock is to be killed before the Lord.
And the anointed priest will bring of the bull’s blood to the tent of the Presence of the congregation. And the priest will dip his finger in some of the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the Lord, before the veil.
And he will put some of the blood on the projections of the altar before the Lord, that is in the tent of the Presence of the congregation, and will pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, that at the door of the tent of the Presence of the congregation.
And he will take all his fat from him and burn it on the altar. And he will do with the bull as he did with the bull for a sin offering, he will do that with this: and the priest will make an atonement (covering until Christ actually died for it) for them, and it will be forgiven them.
And he will carry the bullock outside the camp, and burn him as he burned the first bull: it is a sin offering for the congregation.
When a ruler has sinned, and done something through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord his God concerning things not to be done, and is guilty. Or if his sin, that he sinned, comes to his knowledge; he will bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish, and he will lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the Lord: it is a sin offering.
And the priest will take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
He will burn all his fat on the altar, like the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest will make an atonement (covering) for him for his sin, and it will be forgiven him.
And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, doing something against any of the commandments of the Lord that shouldn’t be done, and is guilty. Or if his sin he sinned, comes to his knowledge: then he will bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin he sinned.
And will lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and kill the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. The priest will take its blood with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out all its blood at the bottom of the altar.
He will take all its fat, like the fat of the peace offering is taken and the priest will burn it on the altar for a sweet fragrance to the Lord; and the priest will make an atonement for him, and it will be forgiven him.
And if he brings a lamb for a sin offering, he is to bring it a female without blemish And lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill it for a sin offering in the place they kill the burnt offering.
And the priest will take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out all its blood at the bottom of the altar
And he will take all its fat, like the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest will burn them on the altar, like the offerings made by fire to the Lord: and the priest will make an atonement for his sin he did, and it will be forgiven him.
But to him that doesn't work, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:5
Leviticus 5
Sin offerings are required in the following cases. If you are officially summoned to give evidence in court and do not give information about something you have seen or heard, you must suffer the consequences.
If you unintentionally touch anything ritually unclean, such as a dead animal, you are unclean and guilty as soon as you realize what you have done. If you unintentionally touch anything of human origin that is unclean, whatever it may be, you are guilty as soon as you realize what you have done.
If you make a careless vow, no matter what it is about, you are guilty as soon as you realize what you have done. When you are guilty, you must confess the sin, and as the penalty for your sin you must bring to the Lord a female sheep or goat as an offering. The priest will offer the sacrifice for your sin.
(All these offerings are a token foreshadowing the promised Savior. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. John 1:29).
If you cannot afford a sheep or a goat, bring to the Lord two doves or two pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. Bring them to the priest, who will first offer the bird for the sin offering. He will break its neck without pulling off its head and sprinkle some of its blood around the altar. The rest of the blood will be drained out at the base of the altar. This is an offering to take away sin. Then he will offer the second bird as a burnt offering, according to the regulations. In this way the priest will offer the sacrifice for your sin, and you will be forgiven.
If you cannot afford two doves or two pigeons, bring two pounds of flour as a sin offering. Don’t put any olive oil or any incense on it, because it is a sin offering, not a grain offering. Bring it to the priest, who will take a handful of it as a token that it has all been offered to the Lord, and he will burn it on the altar as a food offering. It is an offering to take away sin. In this way the priest will offer the sacrifice for your sin, and you will be forgiven. The rest of the flour belongs to the priest, just like a grain offering.
The Lord gave the following regulations to Moses. If any of you sin unintentionally by failing to hand over the payments that are sacred to the Lord, bring as your repayment offering to the Lord a male sheep or goat without any defects. Its value is to be determined according to the official standard. You must make the payments you have failed to make, and are to pay an additional 20 percent. Give it to the priest, and the priest will offer the animal as a sacrifice for your sin, and you will be forgiven.
If any of you sin unintentionally by breaking any of the Lord's commands, you are guilty. You are to bring to the priest as a guilt offering a male sheep or goat without any defects. Its value is to be determined according to the official standard. The priest will offer the sacrifice for the sin you committed unintentionally, and you will be forgiven. It is a guilt offering for the sin you committed against the Lord.
Who His own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, would live to righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed. 2 Peter 2:24
Him being infinite and eternal is an infinite and eternal overpayment for all the universe, all that exists or will exist. ALL
As far as the east is from the west, so far He has removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12
Leviticus 6
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord, and lie to his neighbor about what he was keeping for him, or was delivered him to keep, or a deposit, or robbery, or has deceived his neighbor, or found something lost, and lies about it, and swears falsely; in any of all these that a man does, sinning, he is guilty. He is to restore what was stole,, or lied about, or a deposit, or the lost thing he found, or all about what he swore falsely, he will restore in full and add a fifth to it and give it to him to whom it belongs, in the day of his trespass offering.
He is to bring his trespass offering to the Lord, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest, and the priest will make an atonement for him before the Lord: and it will be forgiven him for anything of all that he has done in trespassing.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because it is burned the altar all night to the morning, and the fire of the altar is to be burning in it.
The priest will put on his linen clothes, and his linen pants on his flesh, and take the ashes from the fire with the burnt offering on the altar, put them beside the altar. Take off his garments, and put on other clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
And the fire on the altar is to be kept burning and not be put out. The priest will burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he is to burn the fat of the peace offerings.
The fire will always be burning on the altar; it is to never go out. (As His love for us never goes out.)
And this is the law of the gift: the sons of Aaron are to offer it before the Lord, before the altar. And he will take a handful of the flour of the food offering, and of its oil and all the frankincense on the gift offering, and burn it upon the altar for a sweet fragrance, our remembrance of Him, to the Lord (us remembering Him, He never forgets us). He will be ever mindful of His covenant. Psalm 111:5
What remains of it is for Aaron and his sons to eat with unleavened bread the holy place in the court of the tent of His Presence of the congregation they will eat it. It is not to be baked with leaven. I have given it to them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.
All the males among the children of Aaron are to eat of it as a statute forever in your generations concerning the offerings of the Lord made by fire: every one that touches them is holy.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they are to offer to the Lord the day when he is anointed; two pounds of fine flour for a gift offering perpetually, half of it in the morning, and half of it at night, in a pan it is to be made with oil, and when it is baked, bring it in: and the baked pieces of the gift offering, offer for a sweet fragrance to the Lord.
And the priest and his son that is anointed in his place will offer it as a statute forever to the Lord; it will be wholly burnt. For every gift offering for the priest is to be wholly burnt, not eaten.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed, kill the sin offering before the Lord: it is most holy.
The priest that offers it for sin will eat it in the holy place, in the court of the tent of His Presence of the congregation.
Whatever touches the its flesh will be holy: and when its blood is sprinkled on any garment, wash what was sprinkled in the holy place.
Any clay pot it is cooked in is to be broken and if it is cooked in a brass pot, scour the pot and rinse it in water.
All the males among the priests are to eat of it. It is most holy.
No sin offering, with blood that is brought into the tent of His Presence of the congregation for atonement in the holy place (sanctuary), is to be eaten: it is to be burned in the fire (as He was totally consumed for us).
Leviticus 7
This is the law of the trespass offering: it is most holy. In the place where they kill the burnt offering they are to kill the trespass offering and sprinkle its blood around the altar. Offer of all the fat, the rump, and the fat that covers the innards, and the two kidneys, and the fat on them which is by the flanks, and the membrane above the liver, with the kidneys, the priest is to take away and burn them on the altar for an offering made by fire to the Lord: it is a trespass offering.
Every male among the priests is to eat of it in the holy place: it is most holy. As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering. There is one law for them. The priest that makes atonement with it shall have it. And the priest that offers any man's burnt offering, the priest will have to himself the skin of the burnt offering that he offered.
And all the gift offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is dressed in the frying pan, and in the pan, will be the priest's that offered it. And every gift offering, mingled with oil, and dry, all the sons of Aaron have, equal amounts.
This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that he offers to the Lord. If he offers it for thanksgiving, offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mixed with oil, of fine flour, fried.
Besides the cakes, he is to offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. He is to offer one out of the whole offering for a heave offering to the Lord, and it will be the priest's that sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.
And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving is to be eaten the same day that it is offered; don’t leave any of it until the morning.
But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, eat it today and the next day. What remains of the flesh of the sacrifice is to be burned with fire. Any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings eaten at all on the third day, will not be accepted, or counted to him that offereth it: it will be an abomination, and the soul that eats of it will bear his iniquity.
And the flesh that touches any unclean thing is not to be eaten but burned with fire: all flesh, that is clean can be eaten. But the soul that eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that is the Lord’s, having his uncleanness on him, that soul will be cut off from his people. (Is anything as bad as being left out?)
The soul that touches any unclean thing, the uncleanness of man, any unclean animal, or any abominable unclean thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which are to the Lord, that soul will be cut off from his people.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Eat no kind of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat. And the fat of the animal that dies of itself, and the fat of that which is torn by animals, may be used in any other use, but no way eat it.
All that eat the fat of an animal, of that men offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, the soul that eats it will be cut off from his people.
All that eat any kind of blood, whether it is from bird or animal, in any of your dwellings, all souls that eat any kind of blood, that soul will be cut off from his people. (Blood is the sacred sign of the covenant, His blood shed for us.)
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, He that offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the Lord is to bring his offering to the Lord of the sacrifice of his peace offerings. His own hands will bring the offerings of the Lord made by fire, the fat with the breast, he is to bring it, that the breast be waved for a wave offering before the Lord.
And the priest will burn the fat on the altar: but the breast will be Aaron's and his sons'. And give the right shoulder to the priest for an heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings.
He among the sons of Aaron, that offers the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, is to have the right shoulder for his part.
For the wave breast and the heave shoulder I have taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons by a statute forever from among the children of Israel.
This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister to the Lord in the priest's office that the Lord commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute forever throughout their generations.
This is the law of the burnt offering, of the gift offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings that the Lord commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that He commanded the children of Israel to offer their offerings to the Lord, in the wilderness of Sinai.
Leviticus 8
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bull for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread, and gather all the congregation together to the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation.
And Moses did as the Lord commanded him. The assembly gathered to the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation.
And Moses said to the congregation, This is what the Lord commanded to do.
And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water and he put on him the shirt, the robe, the sash, the tunic and the belt for the tunic.
And he put the breastplate on him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.
And he put the turban on his head put the golden plate on the front of the turban, the holy crown; as the Lord commanded Moses.
And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tent of His Presence and all that was in it and sanctified them. And he sprinkled the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his utensils, and the washstand and its base, to sanctify them.
And he poured some anointing oil on Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.
And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put shirts on them, and sashes, and put caps them; as the Lord commanded Moses.
And he brought the bull for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull for the sin offering. And he killed it; and Moses took the blood, and put it on the points around the altar with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement on it.
And he took all the fat on the innards, and the membrane above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it un the altar. But the bullock, his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; as the Lord commanded Moses.
Then he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled its blood the around the altar. And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burned the head, and the pieces, and the fat. And he washed the innards and the legs in water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet fragrance, an offering made by fire to the Lord; as the Lord commanded Moses.
And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. And he killed it; and Moses took some of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear (dedicating what he hears to the Lord, and on the thumb of his right hand, dedicating what he does, and on the great toe of his right foot (dedicating where he goes to the Lord).
And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put some of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood around the altar.
(Jesus, being infinitely perfect, didn’t need to do any of these cleansing ceremonies and dedications because He was, is, and always will be the infinite perfection of all these things to God.)
And he (Moses) took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat on the innards, and the membrane above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder.
Out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the Lord, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and on the right shoulder:
And he put all on Aaron's hands, and on his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the Lord. And Moses took them from off their hands, and burned them on the altar on the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet fragrance: it is an offering made by fire to the Lord.
And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the Lord: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the Lord commanded Moses.
And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, and on his garments, and on his sons, and on his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.
And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and eat it with the bread in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded saying, Aaron and his sons are to eat it.
And what remains of the flesh and of the bread burn with fire. And do not go out of the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration end: for seven days he consecrates you. What he done today, the Lord commanded to do, to make an atonement for you. You are to stay at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the Lord, so you don’t die. That’s what I’m commanded. So Aaron and his sons did all things the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
Leviticus 9
And on the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel, and he said to Aaron, Take a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.
And speak to the children of Israel saying, Take a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both one year old, without blemish, for a burnt offering. And an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a gift offering mixed with oil: for today the Lord will appear to you.
And they brought what Moses commanded before the tent of His Presence of the congregation: and all the congregation came near and stood before the Lord.
And Moses said, This is what the Lord commanded you to do: and the glory of the Lord will appear to you.
And Moses said to Aaron, Go to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make an atonement for yourself, and for the people: and then offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the Lord commanded.
So Aaron went to the altar, and killed the calf of the sin offering, that was for himself. And the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it on the points of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar. The fat, and the kidneys, and the membrane above the liver of the sin offering, he burned on the altar as the Lord commanded Moses.
And the flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside the camp. And he killed the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented the blood to him, which he sprinkled around the altar.
And they presented the burnt offering to him with its pieces, and the head, and he burned them on the altar. And he washed the innards and the legs and burned them on the burnt offering on the altar.
And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it the same way.
And he brought the gift offering and took a handful of it and burned it on the altar, beside the burned sacrifice of the morning.
He killed the ox and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings for the people: and Aaron's sons presented the blood to him which he sprinkled around on the altar.
And the fat of the ox and of the ram, the rump, and that which covers the innards, and the kidneys, and the membrane above the liver. And they put the fat on the breasts, and he burned the fat on the altar.
And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the Lord; as Moses commanded.
And Aaron lifted his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of His Presence of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.
And fire came out from before the Lord, and consumed on the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which, when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
Leviticus 10
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each one took his censer (ornamental firepan), and put fire in it, and put incense on it, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. And fire went out from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.
Then Moses said to Aaron, This is what the Lord said, I will be sanctified in those that come near Me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, Come, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of the camp. So they went near and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons, Don’t uncover your heads, or tear your clothes so you won’t die, and so wrath won’t come upon all the people: but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, wail for the burning which the Lord has kindled.
And you are not to go out from the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation, so you won’t die: for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
And the Lord spoke to Aaron, saying, Don’t drink wine or strong drink, you, or your sons with you, when you go into the tent of His Presence of the congregation, so you won’t die: it will be a statute forever throughout your generations: to separate between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean: to teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.
And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the gift offering that remains of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy: eat it in the holy place, because it is your statute, and your sons' statute, of the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire: as I am commanded.
And eat the wave breast and heave shoulder in a clean place; you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are your statute, and thy sons' statute, that are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
The heave shoulder and the wave breast they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the Lord; and it will be yours, and your sons' with you, by a statute forever, as the Lord commanded.
And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and saw it was burned: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron that were left alive, saying, Why haven’t you eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God has given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?
Look, its blood wasn’t brought inside the holy place: you should have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded. And Aaron said to Moses, Behold, today they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord and such things happened to me: and if I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord?
When Moses heard that, it was good in his sight.
Leviticus 11
And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, These are the animals you can eat of all the animals on the earth: those that part the hoof, and chew the cud, among the animals, that you can eat. (these eat only plant life).
You are not eat camels, rock badgers, or rabbits. These are considered unclean; they chew the cud, but do not have divided hoofs. Don’t eat pigs. They are considered unclean; they have divided hoofs, but don’t chew the cud. Don’t eat these animals or even touch their dead bodies; they are unclean. (They eat dead things and can carry disease.)
You may eat all kind of fish that has fins and scales, but anything living in the water that doesn’t have fins and scales is not to be eaten. Such creatures are considered unclean. Don’t eat them or touch their dead bodies. Don’t eat anything that lives in the water and doesn’t have fins and scales.
Don’t eat any of these birds: eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, buzzards, vultures, crows, ostriches, seagulls, storks, herons, pelicans, cormorants, hoopoes, or bats.
All winged insects are unclean, except those that hop. You may eat locusts, crickets, and grasshoppers. But all other small things that have wings and also crawl must be considered unclean.
If you touch the dead bodies of the following animals, you will be unclean until evening: all animals with hoofs, unless their hoofs are divided and they chew the cud, and all four-footed animals with paws. If you carry their dead bodies, you must wash your clothes, but you will still be unclean until evening.
Moles, rats, mice, and lizards are considered unclean. Whoever touches them or their dead bodies will be unclean until evening. And if their dead bodies fall on anything, it will be unclean. This applies to any article of wood, cloth, leather, or sacking, no matter what it is used for. Dip it in water, and it will remain unclean until evening.
And if their bodies fall into a clay pot, everything that is in it is unclean and you are to break the pot.
Any food which could normally be eaten, but on which water from such a pot has been poured, will be unclean, and anything drinkable in such a pot is unclean.
Anything on which a dead bodies fall is unclean; a clay stove or oven is to be broken, but a spring or a cistern remains clean, although anything else that touches their dead bodies is unclean.
If one of them falls on seed that is going to be planted, the seed remains clean. But if the seed is soaking in water and one of them falls on it, the seed is unclean.
If any animal that may be eaten dies, anyone who touches it will be unclean until evening. And if any of you eat any part of the animal, you must wash your clothes, but you will still be unclean until evening; any of you who carry the dead body must wash your clothes, but you will still be unclean until evening.
Don’t eat any of the small animals that move on the ground, whether they crawl, or walk on four legs, or have many legs.
Don’t make yourselves unclean by eating any of these. I am the Lord your God, and you are to keep yourselves holy, because I am holy.
I am the Lord who brought you out of Egypt so that I could be your God. Be holy, because I am holy.
This, then, is the law about animals and birds, about everything that lives in the water, and everything that moves on the ground, to separate between clean and unclean, between animals that may be eaten and those that may not.
What Jesus did at the cross, because His is infinite and eternal, cleansed the whole universe forever.
Leviticus 12
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceives seed, and births a male child then she is unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity she is unclean.
And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin is to be circumcised.
She is to dwell in the blood of her cleansing 33 days. She may not touch any holy thing, or come into the sanctuary, until the days of her cleansing are fulfilled.
But if she births a female child, then she will be unclean two weeks, in her separation: and she will dwell in the blood of her cleansing 66 days.
And when the days of her cleansing are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she is to bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to the priest who will offer it before the Lord, and make an atonement for her; and she will be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that has birthed a male or a female.
And if she isn’t able to bring a lamb, then she will bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons: one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest will make an atonement for her, and she will be clean.
Leviticus 13
The Lord told Moses and Aaron, If anyone has sore on your skin or a boil or an inflammation bring him to the Aaronite priest. The priest will examine the sore, and if the hairs in it have turned white and the sore appears to be deeper than the surrounding skin, it is a plague of leprosy, and the priest is to pronounce him unclean.
But if the sore is white and does not appear to be deeper than the skin around it and the hairs have not turned white, the priest will isolate him for seven days and examine him again on the seventh day, and if looks the same and has not spread, he will isolate him for another seven days. The priest will examine him again on the seventh day, and if the sore has faded and has not spread, he will pronounce him clean; it is only a sore. He will wash his clothes and be clean.
But if the sore spreads after the priest has examined him and pronounced him clean, he is to appear before the priest again. The priest will examine him again, and if it has spread, he will pronounce him unclean; it is a plague of leprosy.
If someone has a leprosy and the priest examines and sees a sore that has turned white and is full of pus its an old skin disease and no need to isolate him, he is unclean. The priest will pronounce you unclean.
If the skin disease spreads and covers him from head to foot, the priest will examine him again. If he finds it actually has covered the whole body, he will pronounce him clean. If his whole skin has turned white, he is clean. But from the moment an open sore appears, he is unclean. The priest will examine him again, and if he sees an open sore, he will pronounce him unclean. An open sore means a leprosy, and he is unclean.
But when the sore heals and becomes white again, he is to go to the priest, who will examine him again. If the sore has turned white, he is clean, and the priest will pronounce hiim clean.
If anyone has a boil that has healed and if afterward a white swelling or a reddish-white spot appears where the boil was, go to the priest. The priest will examine him, and if the spot seems to be deeper than the surrounding skin and the hairs in it have turned white, he will pronounce you unclean. It is a leprosy that has started in the boil. But if the priest examines it and finds that the hairs in it have not turned white and that it is not deeper than the surrounding skin, but is light in color, the priest will isolate him for seven days. If the spot spreads, the priest will pronounce him unclean; it is a plague. But if it remains unchanged and does not spread, it is only the scar left from the boil, and the priest will pronounce him clean.
If anyone has a burned spot if flesh becomes white or reddish-white, the priest will examine him. If the hairs in the spot have turned white and it appears deeper than the surrounding skin, it is a plague of leprosy that has started in the burn, and the priest will pronounce him unclean. But if the hairs in it have not turned white and it isn’t deeper than the surrounding skin, but is light in color, the priest will isolate him for seven days. The priest will examine him again on the seventh day, and if it is spreading, it is a plague of leprosy, and the priest will pronounce him unclean. But if the spot remains unchanged and doesn’t spread and is light in color, it is not a plague of leprosy. The priest will pronounce him clean, because it is only a scar from the burn.
When any of you, male or female, has a sore on your head or chin, the priest will examine it. If it seems to be deeper than the surrounding skin and the hairs in it are yellowish and thin, it is a plague of leprosy, and he will pronounce you unclean. If, when the priest examines you, the sore doesn’t appear to be deeper than the surrounding skin, but there are still no healthy hairs in it, he will isolate you for seven days. The priest will examine the sore again on the seventh day, and if it has not spread and there are no yellowish hairs in it and it doesn’t seem to be deeper than the surrounding skin, you are to shave the head except the area around the sore. The priest will then isolate you for another seven days. On the seventh day the priest will again examine the sore, and if it hasn’t spread and doesn’t seem to be deeper than the surrounding skin, he will pronounce you clean. You will wash your clothes, and you will be clean. But if the sore spreads after you have been pronounced clean, the priest will examine you again. If the sore has spread, he doesn’t need to look for yellowish hairs; you are unclean. But if the sore has not spread and healthy hairs are growing in it, the sore has healed, and the priest will pronounce you clean.
When any of you, male or female, has white spots on the skin, the priest will examine you. If the spots are dull white, it is only a blemish that has broken out on the skin; you are clean.
If you lose your hair at the back or the front of your head, this does not make you unclean. But if a reddish-white sore appears on the bald spot, it is a plague of leprosy. The priest will examine you, and if there is a reddish-white sore, the priest will pronounce you unclean, because of the leprosy on your head.
If you have a leprosy, you are to wear torn clothes, leave your hair uncombed, cover the lower part of your face, and call out, Unclean, unclean! You remain unclean as long as you have the disease, and you are to live outside the camp, away from others.
Clothing that has a plague of leprosy, whether wool or linen, or on any piece of linen or wool cloth or on leather or anything made of leather, if it is greenish or reddish, it is a plague of leprosy and to be shown to the priest. The priest will examine it and put the object away for seven days. He will examine it again on the seventh day, and if the leprosy has spread, the object is unclean. The priest will burn it, because it is a plague of leprosy which must be destroyed by fire.
But if, when he examines it, the priest finds that the plague has not spread on the object, he will order that it be washed and put away for another seven days. Then he will examine it, and if the plague has not changed color, even though it has not spread, it is still unclean; you must burn the object, whether the rot is on the front or the back. But if, when the priest examines it again, the mildew has faded, he will tear it out of the cloth or leather. Then, if the plague reappears, it is spreading again, and the owner is to burn the object. If he washes the object and the spot disappears, he is to wash it again, and it will be clean.
This, then, is the law about the plague of leprosy on clothing, whether it is wool or linen, or on anything made of leather; to decide what is clean or unclean.
Leviticus 14
The Lord spoke to Moses saying, This is the law for cleansing of the leper On the day of his cleansing, he will be brought to the priest, and the priest will go outside the camp to see if the plague of leprosy is healed in the leper. Then priest will command him to take two clean birds with a piece of cedar wood, a scarlet cord, and a sprig of hyssop. Then the priest will order that one of the birds be killed over a clay bowl containing living (running) water. He is to take the other bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet cord, and the hyssop, in the blood of the bird that was killed. He will sprinkle the blood seven times on the one being cleansed from leprosy and will pronounce him clean. He will release the living bird into the open fields.
The one being cleansed is to wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water. Then he will be clean. He will enter the camp but live outside his tent seven days. On the seventh day he will again shave his head, his beard, his eyebrows, and all the hair on his body; he will wash his clothes and wash his flesh in water. Then he will be clean.
On the eighth day he is to bring two male lambs and one female lamb a year old that are without defects, five pounds of flour mixed with olive oil, and half a pint of olive oil. The priest that cleansed him will take him and these offerings to the door of the tent of the His Presence. Then the priest will take one male lamb and with the half pint of oil and offer it as a trespass offering and present them as a special gift to the Lord for the priest.
He is to kill the lamb in the place they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering because the trespass offering, like the sin offering belong to the priest and are most holy.
The priest will take some of the blood of the lamb and put it on the lobe of the right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot of him being cleansed. The priest will take some of the olive oil and pour it in the palm of his own left hand, dip a finger of his right hand in it, and sprinkle some of it seven times there before the Lord. He will take some of the oil that is in the palm of his hand and some of the blood of the lamb and put them on the lobe of the right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot of the one being cleansed. He will pour the rest of the oil the palm of his hand on his head. And the priest will make atonement for Him before the Lord.
(This ceremony is a shadow of Jesus, our eternal High Priest, making atonement for us before our eternal Holy Father.)
The priest offers the sin offering and makes atonement. After that, he will kill the burnt offering and offer it with the gift offering on the altar, making atonement for him and he is clean.
If he is poor and cannot get so much, he will bring for cleansing only one male lamb as a trespass offering to be waved and make atonement for him, a special gift to the Lord for the priest. And bring only two pounds of flour mixed with olive oil for a gift offering and half a pint of olive oil. Also bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for the sin offering and one for the burnt offering.
On the eighth day of his cleansing he will bring them to the priest at the door of the Tent of His Presence. The priest will take the lamb and the olive oil and present them as a special gift to the Lord for the priest. He will kill the lamb and take some of the blood and put it on the lobe of his right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. The priest will pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand and with a finger of his right hand sprinkle some of it seven times before the Lord.
He will put some of the oil on the same places he put the blood: on the lobe of his right ear of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. The rest of the oil that is in his palm he will pour on the head of the one being cleansed and make atonement for him before the Lord.
Then he will offer one of the turtledoves or pigeons as he can get, one for the sin offering and the other for burnt offering with the gift and the priest will make atonement for him to be cleansed before the Lord.
This is the law for those who have a plague of leprosy for those who cannot get what is required for his cleansing.
The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron saying, When you come into the land of Canaan which I give you, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession, he that owns the house will come tell the priest saying, It seems to me there is a plague of leprosy in the house. Then the priest will command to empty the house before the priest goes to see it, or everything in it will be unclean.
If there are hollow streaks, greenish or red, deeper than the wall, then the priest will go out and shut up the house seven days. The priest will come again on the seventh day to look, and if the plague has spread in the walls of the house, the priest will command to take away the stones that have the plague to an unclean place outside the city.
He will cause the house to be scraped inside and around and pour the dust in the unclean place outside the city. They will take other stones and put them in place of these stones and take mortar and plaster the house.
Then the priest will come and look. If it is spread, it is a fretting leprosy in the house. It is unclean. He will break down the house, its stone, its timber and all the mortar (dust) of the house and carry them out of the city to an unclean place.
He that goes into the house while it is shut up will be unclean until evening. He that lies in the house will wash his clothes. He that eats in the house will wash his clothes.
If the plague hasn’t spread after the house was plastered, it is clean because the plague is healed. To cleanse the house he is to take two birds and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop, and kill one of the birds in a clay bowl over living (running) water. Then he will take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet cord, and the live bird and dip them in the blood of the bird that was killed and in the living water and sprinkle the house seven times. He will cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, the living water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet cord.
Then he will let the live bird fly away outside the city over the open field, making atonement for the house and it will be clean.
This is the law for all leprosy and scabs and leprosy of clothes or house, or boils or scabs, or a bright spot, to show what is clean and unclean.
Leviticus 15
The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron saying, When anyone has a discharge from his flesh, he is unclean, whether it flows or he is stopped up by it. Any bed where he sits or lies is unclean. Anyone who touches his bed or sits on anything the man has sat on must wash his clothes and wash himself with water, and he is unclean until evening.
Anyone who touches the man with the discharge is to wash his clothes and wash himself in water, and he is unclean until evening.
If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and wash himself with water and he is unclean until evening.
Any saddle or seat on which the man with the discharge sits is unclean. Anyone who touches anything on which the man sat is unclean until evening. Anyone who carries anything on which the man sat must wash his clothes and wash himself with water, and he is unclean until evening.
If a man who has a discharge touches one of you without rinsing his hands with water, you must wash your clothes and wash yourself with water, and you are unclean until evening.
Any clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden bowl that he touches must be washed.
After the man is clean from his discharge, he is to wait seven days and then wash his clothes and a wash himself in living (running) water, and he will be clean.
On the eighth day he is to take two turtledoves or two pigeons to the door of the Tent of the His Presence and give them to the priest. The priest will offer one of them as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, making atonement for him before the Lord for his discharge.
If any man’s seed goes out from him, he is to wash his whole body with water, and he is unclean until evening.
Anything made of cloth or leather on which the seed falls must be washed, and it is unclean until evening.
The woman a man lies with, discharging seed, both are to wash their bodies with water, and they are unclean until evening.
When a woman has a discharge, she is unclean for seven days. Anyone who touches her is unclean until evening. Anything on which she sits or lies during her discharge is unclean. Any who touch her bed or anything on which she sat must wash their clothes and wash themselves with water, and they are unclean until evening.
If a man lies with her during her separation, he is unclean for seven days, and any bed where he lies is unclean.
If a woman has a flow of blood for several days outside her usual time, all the days of her discharge she is unclean. Any bed where she lies and anything on which she sits during this time is unclean. Any who touch them are unclean and are to wash their clothes and wash themselves with water and they are unclean until evening.
After her flow stops, she is to wait seven days, and then she will be clean. On the eighth day she is to take two turtledoves or two pigeons to the priest at the door of the Tent of the His Presence.
The priest will offer one of them as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, making atonement for her before the Lord for the discharge of her uncleanness.
You are to separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness so they not die in their uncleanness for defiling My tent that is among them.
This is the law of those that have a discharge, or seed or something that makes them unclean, or her that has a discharge, or him that has a discharge, or if a man lies with a woman in her uncleanness.
The cross of Christ cleansed the whole universe forever, He being infinite and eternal holiness.
Now you are clean through the word I have spoken to you. John 15:13
Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doesn’t yet appear what we will be: but we know that, when He appears, we will be like Him; for we will see Him as He is. And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as He is pure.
Leviticus 16
And the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the Lord, and died, and the Lord said to Moses, Speak to Aaron, your brother, not to come at all times into the holy place inside the veil before the mercy seat, which is on the ark, so that he doesn’t die, for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.
This is how Aaron is to come into the holy place: with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering. He is to put on the holy linen coat, and have the linen pants on his flesh, and be belted with the linen belt, and with the linen turban he will be dressed. These are holy garments; so he he will wash his flesh in water and put them on.
And he is to take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. And Aaron will offer his bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
And he will take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation. And Aaron will cast lots on the two goats; one lot for the Lord, and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron will bring the goat on which the Lord's lot fell and offer him for a sin offering. But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, will be presented alive before the Lord, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness. (As Jesus died, and we go free).
And Aaron will bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and kill the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.
And he is to take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the Lord, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it inside the veil, and put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the testimony, so he won’t die.
And he will take of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat he will sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
Then he will kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkle it on the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat, making an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins.
This is what he will do for the tent of His Presence of the congregation, that stays among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
No man is to be in the tent of His Presence of the congregation when he goes in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he comes out, and has made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
And he will go out to the altar that is before the Lord and make an atonement for it and will take of the blood of the bull, and of the blood of the goat, and put it on the points around the altar round.
And he will sprinkle of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.
And when he has finished making atonement for the holy place, and the tent of His Presence of the congregation, and the altar, he will bring the live goat and Aaron will lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and will send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness. And the goat will bear on him all their iniquities to a land not inhabited: and he will let go the goat in the wilderness.
As far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our sins from us. Psalm 103:12
And Aaron will come into the tent of His Presence of the congregation, and take off the linen garments, he put on when he went into the holy place and will leave them there. And he will wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come out, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
And he will burn the fat of the sin offering on the altar. He will that let go the goat for the scapegoat will wash his clothes, and wash his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
And the bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, one will carry outside the camp and burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung. And he that burns them will wash his clothes, and wash his flesh in water, and afterward he will come into the camp.
And this will be a statute forever to you that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you will humble your souls, and do no work at all, whether it is one of your own country or a foreigner that stays a while among you. For on that day the priest makes an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.
(We rest in His finished work: Jesus being the brightness of God’s glory, and the exact image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had, by Himself, purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:3)
It will be a sabbath of rest to you, and you will humble your souls by a statute forever. And the priest, he anoints, and consecrates to minister in the priest's office, in his father's place, will make the atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the holy garments.
And he will make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he will make an atonement for the tent of His Presence of the congregation, and for the altar, and he will make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.
And this will be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Leviticus 17
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the children of Israel, saying, This is what the Lord commands: whoever it is of the house of Israel that kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or outside the camp is to bring it to the door of the Tent of His Presence of the congregation to offer an offering to the Lord.
If he doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of His Presence of the congregation, to offer an offering to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood woll be counted to that man. He has shed blood; and that man will be cut off from among his people.
This is to so the children of Israel will bring their sacrifices, that they offer in the open field to the Lord, to the door of the Tent of His Presence of the congregation, to the priest, and offer them for peace offerings to the Lord.
(Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you-the peace of the One that has all the power in the universe-not as the world gives to you. Don't let your heart be troubled. Don't let it be afraid. John 14:27)
The priest will sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the Tent of His Presence of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet aroma to the Lord, and no more offer their sacrifices to devils, after whom they have gone whoring. This will be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.
And say to them, A man of the house of Israel, or of the foreigner that stays among you, that offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, and doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of His Presence of the congregation, to offer it to the Lord, that man will be cut off from among his people.
Any man of the house of Israel, or of the foreigners that stay among you, that eats any manner of blood, I will set My face against that soul that eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you on the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.
(The blood of the everlasting covenant, Hebrews 13:20. You were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold from your emtpy way of life, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without spot or blemish-He is infinite perfection!)
That’s why I said to the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, or any stranger that stays among you, may eat blood.
A man of the children of Israel, or of the foreigners that stay among you, who hunts and catches any animal or bird that may be eaten is to pour out its blood and cover it with dust.
For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is its life. That’s why I said to the children of Israel, Eat no blood of any for the life of all flesh is its blood: whoever eats it will be cut off.
And every soul that eats what died of itself, or was torn by animals, whether one of your own country, or a stranger, he is to wash his clothes, and wash himself in water, and be unclean until the evening: then will he be clean.
But if he doesn’t wash them, or wash his flesh; then he will bear his iniquity.
Leviticus 18
The Lord told Moses to say to the people of Israel, I am the Lord your God. Don’t walk in the ways of the people of Egypt, where you once lived, or of the people in the land of Canaan, where I am now taking you.
Obey my laws and do what I command. I am the Lord your God. Follow My judgments and My statutes and you will live. I am the Lord.
Don't uncover the nakedness (have sexual intercourse) with any of your relatives. Don't Uncover the nakedness of your mother. It is your father’s nakedness (they are one). Don’t uncover the nakedness of your sister or your stepsister, whether or not she was brought up in the same house with you. Don’t uncover the nakedness your granddaughter or great granddaughter. Don’t uncover the nakedness of a half-sister; she, too, is your sister.
Don’t uncover the nakedness of an aunt, whether she is your father's sister or your mother's sister. Don’t uncover the nakedness of your uncle's wife; she, too, is your aunt. Don’t uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law or your brother's wife. Don’t uncover the nakedness of the daughter or granddaughter of a woman with whom you have mated; they may be related to you, and that would be lewdness.
Don’t take your wife's sister as one of your wives, while your wife is living.
Don’t uncover the nakedness of a woman during her monthly period, because she is unclean.
Don’t uncover the nakedness of another man's wife; to defile yourself with her.
Don’t give any of your children to be used in the worship of the god Molech, that profanes the name of God, the Lord.
No man is to have sexual relations with another man. That is an abomination to God. No man or woman is to have sexual relations with an animal that perversion profanes. Don’t defile yourselves by any of these acts, for that is how the nations made themselves unclean, those nations who lived in the land before you, and whom the Lord is driving out so that you can go in.
By these things they made the land unclean, and I am visiting their iniquity on the land. It vomits out those people. Keep My statutes and judgments and don't do these abominations: all of you, whether Israelites or foreigners living with you, for all the nation did who lived there before you these abominations: don't do them so the land won’t vomit you out.
Whoever does any of these abominations, their souls will be cut off from their people. Keep My guarding statutes I give and don’t do any of these abominations. Don’t defile yourselves in this. I am the Lord your God.
(God is not willing that any perish, but that all turn back to Him and live. 2 Peter 3:9 He want all to turn to Him, be saved, and 'filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19.
The night before He was crucified in our place He prayed to the Eternal Father, I in them and You in Me, that they may be one in us. He dies that we be joined with them, not all these others. That's not what we were made for.)
Leviticus 19
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them, Be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy. Honor your mother and father and keep My sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.
Do not turn to idols or make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.
And if you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, offer it at your own will. Eat it the same day you offer and the next day and if any remains until the third day, burn it in the fire. If any of it remains at all on the third day, it is abominable; it won’t be accepted. Anyone who eats it will bear his iniquity, because he profaned the holy thing of the Lord. That soul will be cut off from among his people.
And when you reap the harvest of your land, don’t reap the corners of your field, or gather the gleanings of the harvest. Don’t glean your vineyard or gather every grape of your vineyard. Leave it for the poor and foreigners: I am the Lord your God.
Don’t steal, cheat, or lie to each other. And don’t swear falsely by My name or profane the name of your God: I am the Lord,
Don’t oppress your neighbor or rob him: the wages a hired worker isn’t to stay with you all night until the morning.
Don’t curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but fear your God: I am the Lord.
Make only right judgments not favoring the poor or the great, but rightly (impartially) judge your neighbor.
Don’t go among your people as a slanderer (gossip): or withhold evidence in any matters. I am the Lord.
Don’t hate your brother in your heart but correct your neighbor and not allow sin upon him.
Do not avenge or bear any grudge against the children of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
Keep My statutes. Don’t let your livestock breed with with a other kinds. Don’t sow your field with mixed kinds of seeds or mix linen and wool in your clothing.
Whoever mates with a woman who is a servant betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, or free, she is to be scourged but not put to death because she was not free.
And he is to bring his trespass offering to the Lord, to the door of the Tent of His Presence of the congregation, a ram for a trespass offering. And the priest will make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord for his sin he did: and it will be forgiven him.
And when you come into the land and plant all manner of trees for food, then count its fruit unclean for three years, not to be eaten. In the fourth year all its fruit is holy, to praise the Lord. And in the fifth year may eat its fruit that it may yield to you its increase. I am the Lord your God.
Don’t’ eat anything with the blood, or use enchantment, or any kind of magic. Don’t round the corners of your head or destroy the corners of your beard, or make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, or print any marks on you: I am the Lord.
Don’t prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a whore so the land won’t fall to whoredom and become full of lewdness. Keep My sabbaths and revere My sanctuary: I am the Lord.
Turn away from them that have familiar spirits. Don’t seek wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
Rise up before the aged, and honor the face of aged, and fear your God: I am the Lord.
And if a foreigner stays with you in your land, don’t oppress him. But the foreigner that dwells with you is to be as one born among you, and love him as yourself; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Do no unfairness in judgment. Don’t cheat anyone using false measures. Have just balances and weights. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. So keep all My statutes, and all My judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.
(These are God’s infinitely high and holy standards that Jesus kept perfectly for us and credits to our account when we believe in Him.)
Leviticus 20
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Say to the children of Israel, Anyone of the children of Israel, or foreigners that dwell in Israel, that gives any of his seed (children) to Molech (a demon god) he is definitely to be killed: the people of the land are to stone him with stones.
I will set my face against that man, cut him off from among his people (alone in hell forever. Every volcano that erupts proves there is a lake of fire inside the earth.) because he has given of his seed to Molech, to defile My sanctuary, and to profane My holy name.
And if the people of the land hide their eyes from the man, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and not kill him. I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
Any soul that turns away to consult the spirits of the dead, or wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will set My face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
So, Sanctify yourselves apart to Me, and be holy: for I am the Lord your God. Keep only My statutes, and do them: I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
Everyone that curses his father or mother is definitely to be put to death: he has cursed his father or his mother. His blood will be upon him (not on the promised Savior).
And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress are surely to be put to death. And the man that lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them are surely to be put to death; their blood will be upon them.
And if a man lies with his daughter in law, both of them are to be put to death: they have done confusion (perverting the God-given order); their blood will be upon them.
If a man lies with mankind, as he lies with a woman, they have committed an abomination: they are to definitely to be put to death; their blood will be upon them.
And if a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness. They are to be burned with fire, both he and them; that there be no lewdness (wickedness) among you.
And if a man lies with an animal, he is to be killed, and the animal (these acts are all demonic).
And if a woman approaches any animal, and lie down with it, kill the woman, and the animal. Definitely kill them. Their blood will be on them.
If a man takes his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they are to be cut off in the sight of their people. He that has uncovered his sister's nakedness will bear his iniquity.
If a man lies with a woman in her menstrual period and uncovers her nakedness; he has uncovered her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them are to be cut off from among their people.
Don’t uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, or your father's sister: for he uncovers his near relative: they will bear their iniquity.
And if a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they will bear their sin. They will die childless.
And if a man takes his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they will be childless.
Keep all My statutes, and all My judgments, and do them so the land I bring you to dwell in won’t vomit you out. Don’t walk in the statutes of the nations I cast out before you: for they did all these things, and I abhorred them. But I have said to you, You will inherit their land. I will give it to you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey: I am the Lord your God, who has separated you from other people.
Separate between clean animals and unclean, and between unclean birds and clean. Don’t make your souls abominable by any animal or bird or living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
And you wll be holy to Me: for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from other people, to be Mine.
A man also or woman that has a demon spirit, or that is a wizard, surely put to death: stone them with stones: their blood will be upon them.
(These rules all protect the infinitely exquisite life that God originally created, and gave His Son to die, to restore.
God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. Who being the brightness of His glory, and the exact image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had, by Himself, purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:1-3)
Leviticus 21
And the Lord said to Moses, Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say, No one among you is to be defiled for the dead among his people except nearest relatives, his mother or father, or son, or daughter, or brother, or sister who is a virgin, near to him, that has no husband. For her he may be defiled. He is not to defile himself to profane himself, being a leader among his people.
They aren’t to make baldness on their head or shave corners of their beard or make any cuttings in their flesh. They are to be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God for they offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God, so they are to be holy.
They are not to take a wife that is a whore, or profane, or a woman divorced from her husband: for he is holy to his God. You sanctify him because he offers the bread of your God: he is holy to you: for I the Lord, who sanctify you, am holy.
And the daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the whore, she profanes her father: Burn her with fire.
The high priest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and is consecrated to put on the garments, is not uncover his head, or tear his clothes or go in where there is any dead body, or defile himself for his father, or for his mother, or go out of the sanctuary, or profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is on him: I am the Lord.
And he is to take a wife in her virginity: not a widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or a harlot. He is not to take any of these, but he is to take a virgin of his own people as his wife. He is not to profane his seed among his people for I the Lord do sanctify him.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron, saying, Any of your seed through the generations that has any blemish, don’t let him not go near to offer the bread of his God. Whatever man that has a blemish, is not to approach, or a blind man, or lame, or he that has a flat nose, or anything extra, or brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, or crookbacked, or a dwarf, or a blemish in his eye, or scurvy, or scabbed, or has his stones broken. No man that has a blemish of the seed of Aaron, the priest, is to come near to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he has a blemish; he is not to come near to offer the bread of his God.
He will eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy, only not go in to the veil, or come near the altar, because he has a blemish; that he not profane My sanctuaries: for I the Lord do sanctify them.
And Moses told it these things to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
(Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, higher than the heavens. When He had, by Himself, purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 7:16, 1:3)
Leviticus 22
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and his sons, to separate themselves to the holy things of the children of Israel, and not profane My holy name in those things which they sanctify to me: I am the Lord. Say to them, Whoever of all your seed among your generations, that goes in to the holy things, that the children of Israel sanctify to the Lord, having his uncleanness on him, that soul will be cut off from My presence: I am the Lord.
Any man of Aaron’s descendants that is a leper, or has discharge is not to eat of the holy things, until he is clean. And whoever touches anything that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goes from him, or touches any creeping thing, that makes unclean, or a man of, whatsoever uncleanness will be unclean until evening and not eat of the holy things unless he washes his flesh with water. And when the sun is down, he will be clean, and after that may eat of the holy things; because it is his food. He is not to defile himself with whatever dies of itself, or is torn with beasts. I am the Lord. They are to keep My ordinance, or bear sin for it, and die if they profane it: I the Lord sanctify them.
No foreigner is to eat of the holy things. A visitor of the priest, or a hired servant, are not to eat of the holy things. But if the priest buys any soul with his money, he may eat of it, and he that is born in his house, they eat his food.
If the priest's daughter is married to a foreigner, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things. But if the priest's daughter is a widow, or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her father's house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father's food, but no foreigner may eat it.
And if a man eats of the holy thing unknowingly, then he is to add a fifth part to it and give it to the priest with the holy thing.
They are not profane the holy things of the children of Israel that they offer to the Lord. Don't allow them to bear the iniquity of trespass, by eating their holy things: for I, the Lord, do sanctify them.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron, and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, saying, Anyone of the house of Israel, or foreigners in Israel, that will offer an offering for all his vows, and for all freewill offerings to the Lord for a burnt offering, of his own freewill offer a male without blemish, of oxen, or sheep, or goats. But don’t offer anything with a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you.
And whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord for his vow, or a freewill offering in oxen or sheep, it needs to be perfect to be accepted; there is to be no blemish in it, or blind, or broken, or maimed, or discharge, or scurvy, or scabbed. You are not to offer these to the Lord, or make an offering by fire of them on the altar to the Lord.
Either a bull or a lamb that has anything extra part or lacking in his parts, that you may offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it will not be accepted. Do not offer to the Lord what is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut or make any offering like that in your land. Not from a foreigner for the bread of your God of any of these because they are marred or have blemishes. They won’t be accepted for you.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, When a bull, or a sheep, or a goat, is born, then it is to stay seven days under its mother and from the eighth day and it will be accepted for an offering made by fire to the Lord. And whether it is a cow, or ewe, don’t kill it and her young both in one day.
And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it at your own will. Eat it that same day and leave none of it until the next day: I am the Lord (I control everything in the universe) so keep My commandments and do them: I am the Lord.
Don’t profane My holy name, honor me highly among the children of Israel: I am the Lord who makes you holy, that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.
(In whose hand is the soul of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:10.)
Leviticus 23
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, About the feasts of the Lord, which you call holy gatherings, these are My feasts:
Six days you do your work but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy gathering. Do no work in it.
(This teaches mankind through the generations to rest in the Lord’s finished work for us, completed before the foundation of the world.
For we who have believed enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they will enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Hebrews 4:3)
It is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
These are the feasts of the Lord, holy gatherings to call in their seasons. In the fourteenth day of the first month at evening, it is the Lord's passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to the Lord: seven days you are to eat unleavened bread.
(I am the bead of life. He that comes to Me will never hunger. He that believes in Me will never thirst. John 6:35)
In the first day have a holy gathering. Do no work in it. But offer an offering made by fire to the Lord seven days. The seventh day is a holy gathering. Do no servile work then.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, When you come into the land which I give you, and reap its harvest bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. He will wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you. The day after the sabbath the priest will wave it. And you are to offer the day you wave the sheaf, a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to the Lord.
And the gift offering will be four pounds of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord for a sweet fragrance: and the drink offering a quart of wine. Don’t eat bread, or parched corn, or green ears, that day until you have brought an offering to your God. This is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
And count from the day after the sabbath that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering seven sabbaths. The seventh sabbath will be fifty days and you are to offer a new gift offering to the Lord. Bring out of your house two wave loaves each of four pounds of fine flour baked with leaven, the first fruits to the Lord. And offer with the bread seven lambs with the bread, seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bull, and two rams for a burnt offering to the Lord, with their gift offering, and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire, of sweet fragrance to the Lord.
Then sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. And the priest will wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. They will be holy to the Lord for the priest.
Call that day a holy gathering to you. Do no servile work, a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
And when you reap the harvest of your land, don’t clean the corners of your field when you reap, or gather any gleaning of harvest. Leave it for the poor and the foreigner: I am the Lord your God.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you are to have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy gathering.
Do no servile work, but offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is the a day of atonement, a holy gathering to you. Humble your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. Do no work that day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God. Whatever soul will not humble hiimself that day will be cut off from among his people. And whatever soul does any work that day, I will destroy that soul from among his people.
Do no kind of work. It is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It will be a sabbath of rest, and you are to humble your souls. In ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, celebrate your sabbath.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month is to be the feast of Tent of His Presence for seven days to the Lord. On the first day is a holy gathering. Do no servile work.
Then for seven days offer an offering made by fire to the Lord: on the eighth day is a holy gathering. Offer an offering made by fire to the Lord: it is a solemn assembly. Do no servile work that day.
These are the feasts of the Lord, to call holy gatherings, to offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering, and a gift offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything on its day beside the sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, you give to the Lord.
Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, keep a feast to the Lord seven days. On the first day is a sabbath, and on the eighth day is a sabbath.
On the first day take the boughs of glorious trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook, and rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. Keep this feast to the Lord seven days in the year, a statute forever in your generations. Celebrate it in the seventh month. Dwell in booths seven days; all that are born Israelites will dwell in booths that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
And Moses spoke to the children of Israel these feasts of the Lord.
(Christ fulfilled every part of the law for everyone. ‘The Lord has shown you, O man, what is good; and what the Lord requires of you: to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8.)
Leviticus 24
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Command the children of Israel, to bring you pure beaten olive oil for the light, to burn the lamps continually outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of His Presence of the congregation. Aaron will arrange it from evening to morning before the Lord continually. It will be a statute forever in your generations. He will arrange the lamps on the pure lamp stand before the Lord continually.
And take fine flour and bake twelve cakes, each cake of 2 pounds of flour, and set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure table before the Lord. And put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, an offering made by fire to the Lord. Every sabbath he will set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
And it will be Aaron's and his sons' and they will eat it in the holy place. It is most holy to Him of the offerings of the Lord made by fire by an everlasting covenant.
And the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel. And this son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp. And the Israelite woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord and cursed. And they brought him to Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:) And they confined him, that the mind of the Lord might be showed them.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Bring him that cursed outside the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. And say to the children of Israel, Whoever curses his God will bear his sin.
And he that blasphemes the name of the Lord, he will surely be put to death, and all the congregation will definitely stone him. The foreigner, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the name of the Lord, will be put to death.
And he that kills any man shall surely be put to death. And he that kills an animal will make it good; animal for animal.
And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbor; as he has done, it is to be done to him: Break for break, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him.
And he that kills an animal he will restore it: and he that kills a man, he will be put to death.
Have the same law for foreigners and countrymen. I am the Lord your God.
And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, to bring out him that cursed outside the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Leviticus 25
And the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, When you come into the land I give you, the land is to keep a sabbath to the Lord. Six years sow your field, and six years prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit but the seventh year is a sabbath of rest to the land, a sabbath for the Lord. Don’t sow your field, or prune your vineyard. Don’t gather what grows itself or gather the grapes of your undressed vine for it is a year of rest to the Lord.
And the sabbath of the land will be food for you, for you, and your servant, and your maid, and your hired worker, and for your foreigner that stays with you. And for your livestock, and for the animals that are in your land, all its increase will be your food.
Count seven sabbaths of years, seven times seven years. It will be 49 years. Then blow the trumpet of the jubilee on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement, sound the trumpet sound throughout all your land. And sanctify the fiftieth year, and free everyone dwelling in all the land. It is a jubilee to you for everyone to return to your original divinely allotted property. Every man return to his own family.
The fiftieth year is a jubilee to you. Don’t sow or reap what grows of itself or gather the grapes of you undressed vines. For it is the jubilee; it is holy to you. Eat the increase out of the field.
In the year of jubilee every man return to his own possession. And if any of you sells anything to your neighbor, or buys anything from your neighbor, don’t oppress one another.
By the number of years after the jubilee buy of your neighbor, and according to the number of years of the fruits, he will sell to you: the more years, the more the price or the less years, the less price, by the number of years of fruits for according to the number of the years of the fruits he will sell to you. Don’t oppress one another but fear/revere/honor your God for I am the Lord (who controls everything) your God. So do My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them and you will dwell in the land in safety. And the land will yield her fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell there safely.
And if you say, What will we eat the seventh year? We don’t sow or gather our increase. Then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bear 3 years fruit. You will sow the eighth year, and still eat of old fruit until the ninth year. Until her fruits come in, you will eat of the old.
The land is never to be sold for the land is Mine. You are foreigners staying with Me. And in all the land of your possession grant a redemption for the land. If your brother grows poor, and has sold some of his possession, and if any of his relatives come to redeem it, then he will redeem what his brother sold.
And if the man has no one to redeem it and himself is able to redeem it, let him count the years of the sale and restore the overage to the man to whom he sold it, that he may return to his possession. If he isn’t able to restore it, it will remain in the hand of him that bought it until the year of jubilee and in the jubilee it will go out and return to his possession.
And if a man sells a house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold. If it isn’t redeemed within a full year then it is established to him that bought it throughout his generations. It is not to go out in the jubilee.
But the houses in villages with no wall around them are to be counted as fields of the country. They may be redeemed and will not go out. But the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time. And if a man purchases from the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, will go out in the year of jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel. But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
And if your brother grows poor then relieve him: yes, though he be a foreigner, living with you, don’t charge him any interest or increase but fear your God; that your brother may live with you. Don’t charge interest or increase on any loan, of money or food for increase.
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
And if your brother that dwells by you grows poor, and is sold to you don’t force him into slavery but hire him as a wage earner and he will live with you until the year of jubilee.
Then he will leave you, both he and his children with him, and return to his own family, and return to the possession of his fathers. For they are My servants, which I brought out of the land of Egypt: they are not to be sold as slaves. Don’t rule over him with harshly but fear your God.
Both your male and female slaves you will have are to be from the foreigners around you. Of them you may buy male and female slaves. And the children of the foreigners that stay among you, of them you may buy, and of their families that are with you, which they bear in your land: and they will be your possession.
And you will take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they will be your servants forever: but over your brothers, the children of Israel, don’t rule one over another harshly.
And if a foreigner becomes rich near you, you’re your brother that dwells by him becomes poor, and sells himself to the foreigner by you or to the offspring of the foreigner's family, one of his brothers may redeem him, or an uncle or a cousin may redeem him, or any near relative. Or he may redeem himself.
And he is to count with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him to the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale will be according to the number of years he serves with him. If there are still many years left, according to them he will give the price of his redemption according to the amount he was bought for.
And if there remain only a few years to the year of jubilee, then he will count with him, and according to his years he will give him again the price of his redemption. And he is to be as a yearly hired servant with him. Don't rule harshly over him in your sight. And if he isn't redeemed in these years, then he will go out in the year of jubilee, both he, and his children with him.
For the children of Israel are servants; they are My servants I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 26
Make no idols or carved image, or raise up a standing image, or any image of stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am the Lord your God. Keep My sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.
If you walk in My statutes, and keep My commandments, and do them I will give you rain in due season, and the land will give her increase, and the trees of the field will give their fruit. And your threshing will overtake the grape harvest, and the grape harvest will overtake the sowing time: and you will eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
I will give peace in the land, and you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts (violent animals) out of the land, and the sword (violence) won’t go through your land. And you will chase your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred will put ten thousand to flight and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. For I will turn to you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish My covenant with you.
And you will eat old stored provisions and bring out the old because of the new.
And I set My dwelling among you: and My soul will not abhor you. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be My people.
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to not be their slaves. I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you go upright.
But if you won’t hear me, and will not do all these commandments, if you despise my statutes, or if your soul abhors my judgments, so you not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, I will do this to you; I will visit you with trouble, consumption, and burning fever, that will consume your eyes, and cause sorrow of heart.
You will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it. And I will set my face against you, and you will be killed before your enemies. Those that hate you will reign over you; and you will flee when no one is chasing you.
And if you will still not hear me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass. And your strength will be spent in vain: for your land won’t give her increase, or the trees of the land give their fruits.
And if you walk contrary to me and will not hear me, I will bring seven times more wounds on you according to your sins. I will send wild beasts among you, who will rob you of your children, and destroy your animals, and make you few and your highways will be desolate.
And if you will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary to me, then I will walk contrary to you, and will punish you seven times for your sins.
And I will bring a sword on you, that will avenge the quarrel of my covenant. And when you are gathered in your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken the staff of your bread (famine), ten women will bake your bread in one oven, and they deliver you your bread by weight and you will eat and not be satisfied.
And if you will not after all these, hear me, but walk contrary to me, then I will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And you will eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters (their souls go to be with their heavenly Father, all children that die under 20 go to be with God. These parents, by the way they live are leading their children and all around them to eternal death.).
And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and my soul will abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your soothing perfumes. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies who dwell there will be astonished at it.
And I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out a sword after you: and your land will be desolate, and your cities waste. Then the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lies empty, and you are in your enemies' land, the land will rest and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lies empty it will rest because it didn’t rest in your sabbaths, when you dwelt on it.
And on those that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf will chase them; and they will flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they will fall when no one is chasing them. They will fall on one another as before a sword, when none is chasing: and you will have no power to stand before your enemies.
You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will eat you up. And they that are left of you will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands, in the iniquities of their fathers they will waste away with them.
If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass that they trespassed against me, and that they have walked contrary to me. and that I also have walked contrary to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies, if their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they accept the punishment of their iniquity, then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and my covenant with Isaac, and I will remember my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.
The land will be left of them, and enjoy her sabbaths, while she lies desolate without them: and they will accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, I will not abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God.
But I will, for their sakes, remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, to be their God: I am the Lord.
These are the statutes and judgments and laws, the Lord made between Him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
Leviticus 27
The Lord spoke to Moses saying, When any of you makes a wonder vow, freewill gift by this standard of the sanctuary:
–adult male, twenty to sixty years old: 50 pieces of silver
–adult female: 30 pieces of silver
–young male, five to twenty years old: 20 pieces of silver
–young female: 10 pieces of silver
–infant male under five: 5 pieces of silver
–infant female: 3 pieces of silver
–male above sixty years of age: 15 pieces of silver
–female above sixty: 10 pieces of silver
If anyone making a vow has grown too poor to pay the gift, bring the person to the priest, and the priest will set a price, according to your ability to pay.
If you vow an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the Lord, then that gift to the Lord is sacred, and you can’t substitute another animal for it. If you do, both animals belong to the Lord. But if you vow an unclean animal, which is not acceptable as an offering to the Lord, take the animal to the priest. The priest will value it and his value is final. If you wish to buy it back, pay the price a fifth.
When a man sanctifies his house to the Lord, the priest will set the value and that will stand. If you want to buy it back, add a fifth.
If anyone dedicates part of his land to the Lord, the price will be set according to the amount of seed it takes to sow it, at the rate of ten pieces of silver per bushel of barley. If you dedicate the land right after the jubilee, it’s full price. If you dedicate it anytime later, the priest will estimate the value according by the number of years left until the next jubilee.
If you wish to buy your field back, pay the set price and a fifth and it will stand.
If he has sold the field to someone else without first buying it back from the Lord, you lose the right to buy it back. At the next jubilee the field becomes the Lord's property; it will belong to the priests.
If you dedicate to the Lord a field that have bought, the priest will estimate its value by the number of years to the jubilee, and you pay the price that same day. The money belongs to the Lord.
At the jubilee the field will be returned to the original owner or to the descendants. All prices are set according to sanctuary standard, $12 for a silver coin, $500 for gold.
The first-born of an animal already belongs to the Lord, no one can dedicate it to the Lord, a calf, a lamb, or a kid belongs to the Lord, but the first-born of an unclean animal may be bought back at the set price and a fifth. If it’s not bought back, it may be sold at the set price.
Nothing devoted (different from a vow) to the Lord, a person, or animal, or land may be bought back. It is most holy to the Lord. No person sacredly dedicated to the Lord may be bought back; they must be put to death.
One tenth of all the produce of the land, grain or fruit, belongs to the Lord. If you buy it back, you add a fifth. One of every ten domestic animals belongs to the Lord. The tithe of the herd, every tenth one, belongs to the Lord, no substituting a bad for a good or they both belong to the Lord and cannot be bought back.
These are the commands that the Lord gave Moses for the people of Israel on Mount Sinai.
