And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of His Presence of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying, Lift the head (count) all the congregation of the children of Israel, by families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their head from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go to war in Israel.      These were the called of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel. And Moses and Aaron took these men expressed by their names.

And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their origins by their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their heads.

As the Lord commanded Moses, he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war: Those that were numbered of the tribe of Reuben, were 46,500.

Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their heads, every male from twenty years old and upward, able to go to war. Those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, 59,300.

Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, of their families, by the house of their fathers, the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, able to go to war, numbered of the tribe of Issachar, 54,400.

Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, by their families, by the house of their fathers, the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, able to go to war, numbered of the tribe of Ephraim, 40,500.

Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, by their families, by the house of their fathers, the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, able to go to war, numbered of the tribe of Manasseh, 32,200.

Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, by their families, by the house of their fathers, the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, able to go to war numbered of the tribe of Benjamin, 35.400.

These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, twelve men: each one for the house of his fathers.

So were all that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, able to go forth to war in Israel, 603,550.

But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. For the Lord said to Moses, Don’t record the tribe of Levi, or take the sum of them among the children of Israel. Number the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all its furnishings, all things that belong to it. They will carry the tabernacle, and all the furnishings and will minister to it, and camp round about the tabernacle.

And when the tabernacle sets forward, the Levites will take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites will set it up: and the foreigner that comes near will be put to death.

And the children of Israel will pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own flag, throughout their armies.

But the Levites will camp surrounding the tabernacle of testimony, so no wrath comes on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites will guard of the tabernacle of testimony.

And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, they did it.

Numbers 2

And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, Every man of the children of Israel is to camp by his own banner, with the sign of their father's house far away around the tent of His Presence of the congregation they are to camp.

On the east toward the rising of the sun will be the banner of the camp of Judah to camp throughout their armies. Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, will be the prince of the children of Judah. And his army, that were numbered was 74,600.

All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were 186,400 throughout the 3 armies. These will set out first.

On the south will be the banner of the camp of Reuben’s armies and the prince of the children of Reuben is Elizur, the son of Shedeur. And his army numbered 46,500.

By him will camp the tribe of Simeon, and the prince of the children of Simeon is Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai, and his army numbered 59,300.

Then the tribe of Gad their prince of sons of Gad will be Eliasaph, the son of Reuel, and his army numbered 45,650. All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were 151,450 throughout their armies. They will set out second.

Then the tabernacle of the congregation will set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so will they set forward, every man in his place by their banners.

On the west side will be the banner of the camp of Ephraim, their armies. And the prince of the sons of Ephraim will be Elishama, the son of Ammihud. And his army numbered, 40,500.

All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were 108,100 throughout their 3 armies and they set out third.

The banner of the camp of Dan is to be on the north side by their armies. The prince of the children of Dan will be Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai, and his army numbered 62,700.

Those that camp by him will be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher will be Pagiel, the son of Ocran, and his army numbered 41,500.

Then the tribe of Naphtali. The prince of the children of Naphtali will be Ahira, the son of Enan, and his army numbered 53,400.

All those numbered in the camp of Dan were 157,600. They go last with their banners.

These are those numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their armies were 603,550.

But the Levites were not counted among the children of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses. The children of Israel did all the Lord commanded Moses. So, they camped by their banners, and set forward, everyone after their families, in house of their fathers.

Numbers 3

These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke with Moses in mount Sinai. And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he anointed to be priests. And Nadab and Abihu died before the Lord, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar were priests in the sight of Aaron (light bringer) their father.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, to minister to him. And they will guard the whole congregation before the tent of His Presence of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. They will keep/guard all the equipment of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the service of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. Give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons out of the children of Israel.

Appoint Aaron and his sons, and they will keep the priest's office: and the foreigner that comes near will be put to death.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of all the firstborn that opens the womb among the children of Israel. The Levites will be Mine because all the firstborn are Mine. For on the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They are Mine. I am the Lord.

And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, Number/record the children of Levi by the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward count them. And Moses numbered them according to the word of the Lord, as he was commanded.

And these were the sons of Levi by their names. Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni, and Shimei. And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel. And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.

Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: these are the families of the Gershonites. Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward numbered 7,500.

The families of the Gershonites will camp behind the tabernacle to the west. The prince of the house of the father of the Gershonites will be Eliasaph, the son of Lael. And the sons of Gershon in the tent of His Presence of the congregation will be in charge of the tabernacle: the tent, its covering, the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, the hangings of the court, the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and around the altar, and the cords for all the its service.

And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, the Izeharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites. The number of all the males, from a month old and upward, 8,600 in charge of keeping/guarding the sanctuary. The families of the sons of Kohath will camp on the south side of the tabernacle. And the prince will be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. They are in charge of the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, and the equipment of the sanctuary where they minister, and the hanging, and all the its service.

And Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, will be prince over the princes of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, the Mushites: these are the families of Merari. The number of the males, from a month old and upward, 6,200. The prince of the house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the, son of Abihail. These will camp on the north side of the tabernacle. They are in charge of the boards of the tabernacle, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, and all its equipment, and the pillars of the surrounding court, their sockets, their pins, and their cords.

Those that camp at the front of the tabernacle to the east will be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary, for the charge of the children of Israel; and the foreigner that comes near will be put to death.

(The greatest wealth of the ancient world, the treasures they took when they left Egypt were traveling around for 40 years in the wilderness in tents, so God had them armed and prepared for roving bands of thieves and killers.)

All that were numbered of the Levites, who Moses and Aaron numbered at the command of the Lord, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were 2.200.

And the Lord said to Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names. And take the Levites for Me, I am the Lord, instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the animals of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the animals of the children of Israel.

And Moses numbered, as the Lord commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel. And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were 22,273.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the animals of the Levites instead of their animals; and the Levites will be Mine: I am the Lord.

And for those that are to be redeemed of the 273 of the firstborn of the children of Israel, more than the Levites, take five pieces of silver by the head, by the shekel of the sanctuary which is twenty gerahs. And give the money, of the odd number to be redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons.

And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites. Of the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, 1,365 pieces of silver. And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Numbers 4

And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, Record the number of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by the house of their fathers, from thirty years old and up to fifty years old, all that enter the army, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. The service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, will be the most holy things. When the camp sets forward, Aaron and his sons will come take down the covering veil and cover the ark of testimony with it. They will put on it the covering of badgers' skins and spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and put in the poles.

And on the table of showbread they will spread a cloth of blue, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and covers to cover it all. And the continual bread will be on it. And they will spread on them a cloth of scarlet, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and put in its poles.

And they will take a cloth of blue, and cover the lampstand of the light, his lamps, his tongs, and his snuff dishes, and all its oil jars they use. And they will put it and all its utensils in a covering of badgers' skins, and put it on a bar.

And on the golden altar they will spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and put the poles in.

They will take all the instruments of service, with which they serve in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and put in its bar.

They will take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it, and they put on it all its equipment they use, the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, the basons, all the utensils of the altar; and spread on it a covering of badgers' skins, and put in its poles.

And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the equipment of the sanctuary, as the camp sets forward, after that, the sons of Kohath will come to carry it, but they are not to touch any holy thing, so they won’t they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

And to Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the daily gift offering, the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, in the sanctuary, and in the its equipment.

And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron saying, Don’t cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites, but so they will live and not die, when they come near the most holy things, Aaron and his sons will go in to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons will go in, each on doing his service, so the sons of Kohath don't see the holy things.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Record the number of the sons of Gershon, by the houses of their fathers, by their families, from thirty years old up to fifty years old, all that enter in to do the service, the work in the tent of His Presence of the congregation.

This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens. They will carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers' skins that is over it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them, that is their service.

Aaron and his sons will appoint all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service, appoint them in charge all their burdens. This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge is under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron, the priest.

Number the sons of Merari, by their families, by the house of their fathers those thirty years old up to fifty years old, every one that enters the service, to do the work of the tent of His Presence of the congregation. They will have charge over the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, its pillars, its sockets. And the pillars of the surrounding court, and their sockets, their pins, their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service. Record by name the instruments they are responsible for. This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

And Moses and Aaron and the prince of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites by their families, after the house of their fathers from thirty years old and up to fifty years old, every one that enter into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation numbered 2,750. These were those numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron numbered by the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

And those numbered of the sons of Gershon, by their families, by the house of their fathers from thirty years old up to fifty years old, every one that entered into service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation were 2,630 whom Moses and Aaron numbered at command of the Lord.

Those numbered of Merari by their families, by the house of their fathers, from thirty years old up to fifty years old, every one that entered the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation were 3,200. whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the prince of Israel numbered, by their families, by the house of their fathers from thirty years old up to fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, to serve at tabernacle of the congregation, numbered 8,580 at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden they were numbered by him, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Numbers 5

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Command the children of Israel to put out of the camp every leper, and every one that has a discharging sore and whoever has touched the dead. Put out both male and female outside the camp so they don’t defile their camps where I dwell in the midst. And the children of Israel did it. They put them outside the camp as the Lord spoke to Moses, that’s what the children of Israel did.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, When a man or woman commits any sin that men do, to trespass against the Lord, that person is guilty, they are to confess their sin they have done. He  is toreturn his trespass, its whole worth and add a fifth, and give it to him against whom he trespassed. But if the man has no family to recompense the trespass, repay it to the Lord, by giving it to the priest plus the ram of atonement, by which an atonement is to be made for him.

(I tell you the truth, What you have done to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done to Me. Matthew 25:40.)

And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, they bring to the priest, will be his. And every man's hallowed things will be his: whatever any man gives the priest will be his.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him, and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and is kept hidden, and she is defiled, and there be no witness against her, and she isn't caught. And the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she isn’t defiled. Then the man is to bring his wife to the priest, and bring her offering for her, two quarts of barley meal. He isn’t to pour oil on it (oil is the symbol of the Holy Spirit), or put frankincense on it (representing sweet prayers to God); for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

And the priest will bring her near and set her before the Lord. And the priest will take holy water in an clay jar and dust from the floor of the tabernacle, the priest will take it and put it in the water. And the priest will set the woman before the Lord, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, the jealousy offering: and the priest will have in his hand the bitter water that causes the curse. And the priest will charge her by an oath, and say to the woman, If no man have lain with you, and if you haven’t not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of your husband, be free from this bitter water that causes the curse.

But if you have gone aside to another instead of your husband, and if you are defiled, and some man has lain with you beside your husband, then the priest will charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest will say to the woman, The Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord makes your thigh rot, and your belly swell. And this water that causes the curse will go you’re your bowels, to make your belly to swell, and your thigh rot. And the woman will say, Amen, amen.

And the priest will write these curses in a book, and blot them out with the bitter water. And he will cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causes the curse: and the water that causes the curse will enter her, and become bitter. Then the priest will take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and will wave the offering before the Lord, and offer it on the altar. And the priest will take a handful of the offering, the memorial, and burn it on the altar, and afterward cause the woman to drink the water.

And when he has made her to drink the water, then if she is defiled and has done trespass against her husband, the water that causes the curse will enter her, and become bitter, and her belly will swell, and her thigh will rot. And the woman will be a curse among her people.

And if the woman isn’t defiled, but is clean; then she will be free, and conceive seed.

This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goes aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled, or when the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous over his wife, and sets the woman before the Lord, and the priest executes on her all this law. Then the man is guiltless from iniquity, and this woman will bear her iniquity.

Numbers 6

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, When a man or woman wants to separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite (separate), to separate themselves to the Lord, he is to separate himself from wine and strong drink, and will drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, or drink any liquor of grapes, or eat moist grapes, or dried, all the days of his separation he will eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels to the husk.

All the days of the vow of his separation no razor is to come on his head until the days are fulfilled that he separates himself to the Lord, he will be holy, and will let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he will not come near a dead body. He will not make himself unclean for his father, or mother, or brother, or sister, when they die: because the crown of his God is on his head. All the days of his separation he is holy to the Lord.

And if any man dies very suddenly by him, and he is defiled the head of his consecration, then he will shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day will he shave it.

And on the eighth day he will bring two turtlesdoves, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation. And the priest will offer one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make atonement for him for what he sinned by the dead and will sanctify his head that same day.

And he will separate to the Lord the days of his separation and will bring a lamb of the first year for a trespass offering. The days that were before are lost because his separation was defiled.

And this is the law of the Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he is to bring to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation and offer his offering to the Lord, one he lamb of the first year without blemish for a burnt offering, one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings, and a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their gift offering, and their drink offerings.

And the priest will bring them before the Lord, and offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering. And he will offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest will offer also his gift offering, and his drink offering. And the Nazarite will shave the head of his crown at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation and take the hair of the head of his crown and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings.

And the priest will take the cooked shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and put them on the hands of the Nazarite after the hair of his separation is shaved.

And the priest will wave them for a wave offering before the Lord. This is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder. And after that the Nazarite may drink wine.

This is the law of the Nazarite who has vowed, and of his offering to the Lord for his crown beside that what his hand will get the vow he vowed, so he must do after the law of his crown (separation).

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Bless the children of Israel this way, saying to them, The Lord bless you, and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift His face on you, and give you peace. And they will put My name/person on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.

Numbers 7

On the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all its instruments, the altar and all the equipment, and had anointed them, and sanctified them, the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, over those that were numbered, brought their offering before the Lord, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen, a wagon for two princes, and an ox for each one. They brought them before the tabernacle.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Take it from them to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation and give them to the Levites, to every man as he needs to do his service. And Moses took the wagons and the oxen and gave them to the Levites: Two wagons and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, to do their service. And four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, to do their service, under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron, the priest.

But he gave none to the sons of Kohath because the service of the sanctuary belonging to them was to carry on their shoulders.

And the princes offered for dedicating the altar, the day it was anointed, the princes offered their offering before the altar. And the Lord said to Moses, They will offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.

And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah. And his offering was one silver bowl weighing 3.25 pounds, one silver bowl weighing 1.75 pounds both were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a gift offering. One spoon weighing 4 ounces of gold, full of incense. One young bull, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering. One kid of the goats for a sin offering. And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

On the second day Nethaneel the son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, offered one silver bowl weighing 3.25 pounds, one silver bowl weighing 1.75 pounds both were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a gift offering. One spoon weighing 4 ounces of gold, full of incense. One young bull, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering. One kid of the goats for a sin offering. And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

On the third day Eliab the son of Helon, prince of the children of Zebulun, offered one silver bowl weighing 3.25 pounds, one silver bowl weighing 1.75 pounds both were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a gift offering. This was the offering of Eliab the son of Helon.

On the fourth day Elizur the son of Shedeur, prince of the children of Reuben, offered the same. On the fifth day Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai, prince of the children of Simeon, offered the same.

On the sixth day Eliasaph the son of Deuel, prince of the children of Gad, offered the same. On the seventh day Elishama the son of Ammihud, prince of the children of Ephraim, offered the same. On the eighth day Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, prince of the children of Manasseh offered the same. On the ninth day Abidan the son of Gideoni, prince of the children of Benjamin, offered the same. On the tenth day Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, prince of the children of Dan, offered the same. On the eleventh day Pagiel the son of Ocran, prince of the children of Asher, offered the same. On the twelfth day Ahira the son of Enan, prince of the children of Naphtali, offered the same.

This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold. Each charger of silver weighing 4.25 pounds of silver, totaling 60 pounds of silver. The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, by the shekel of the sanctuary was three pounds of gold.

All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bulls, twelve the rams, twelve lambs of the first year with their gift offering, and twelve kids of the goats for sin offering. And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty four bulls, sixty rams sixty, sixty he goats, sixty lambs of the first year. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.

And when Moses went into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with Him, then he heard the voice of one speaking to him from the mercy seat on the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubim, and he spoke to Him.

Numbers 8

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron and say, When you light the lamps, the seven lamps will give light before the lampstand. And Aaron did it. He lit the lamps of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses.

And this work of the lampstand was of beaten gold, its base to its flowers was beaten work, the pattern the Lord had shown Moses, that’s how he made the lampstand.

(I am the light of the world. He that follows Me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of Life. John 8:12)

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them. Do this to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying on them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

Then let them take a young bull with his gift offering, the fine flour mingled with oil. And take another young bull for a sin offering. And bring the Levites before the tent of His Presence of the congregation, gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together. And bring the Levites before the Lord and have the children of Israel put their hands on the Levites.

And Aaron will offer the Levites before the Lord for an offering of the children of Israel, to do the service of the Lord.

And the Levites will lay their hands on the heads of the bulls and offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, to the Lord, to make an atonement (sign of Jesus’s cleansing their sins) for the Levites.

And set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering to the Lord. That’s how you are to separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites will be mine.

And after that the Levites will go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. You will cleanse them and offer them for an offering. For they are wholly given to Me from among the children of Israel instead what opens every womb, the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to Me. For all the firstborn of the children of Israel were mine, both man and animal on the day that I struck every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself. I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel so there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near the sanctuary.

(So sinful mankind and our infinitely holy Maker of all can dwell together.)

And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, the children of Israel did. The Levites were cleansed and washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as an offering before the Lord; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, they did to them.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, The Levites from twenty-five years old and upward will go in to wait (fight, army-God is at war against evil since the fall) on the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. And from the age of fifty years they stop waiting there and no longer serve, but will serve with their brothers in the tabernacle of the congregation, keep guard, but do no service. This is  instruction for their duties.

Numbers 9

And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying, Let the children of Israel keep the Passover at His congregation. In the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, keep it in His congregation: all its just, right doings, and according to all its ceremonies, keep it.

And Moses told the children of Israel, to keep the passover. And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at evening in the wilderness of Sinai, all that the Lord commanded Moses, the children of Israel did.

And certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, couldn’t keep the passover that day came before Moses and before Aaron on that day and said to him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: so we are kept back, and can’t offer an offering of the Lord in His appointed season among the children of Israel.

And Moses said to them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your offspring is unclean because of a dead body, or are far away on journey but want to keep the passover to the Lord, keep it on the fourteenth day of the second month at evening, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. Leave none of it until the morning, and break none of its bones, according to all the instructions of the Passover, keep it.

But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and doesn’t to keep the passover, that soul will be cut off from among his people because he didn’t bring the offering of the Lord in His appointed season, that man will bear his sin (instead of Christ bearing in on the cross.)

And if a foreigner staying among you will keep the passover to the Lord by the statutes of the passover, and its just, right doings, he will do it. You are to have one rule for the foreigner, and for him that was born in the land.

And on the day that the tabernacle was raised up the cloud covered the tent of His Presence, the tent of the testimony. At evening, on the tabernacle was the appearance of fire, until the morning, that’s how it was, always, The cloud covered it by day, and the fire by night.

And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then the children of Israel journeyed, and in the place where the cloud stayed, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

At the commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they camped. As long as the cloud stayed on the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

And when the cloud tarried on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord, and didn’t journey. And when the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the Lord they stayed in their tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they journeyed.

And so it was, when the cloud stayed from evening to the morning, and the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, when the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining there, the children of Israel stayed in their tents, and didn’t journey, but when it was taken up, they journeyed. At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Numbers 10

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Make two trumpets of silver. Make them one whole piece and use them to call the assembly, and for moving the camps. When they blow them, all the assembly will assemble to you at the door of the tent of His Presence of the congregation.

If they blow one trumpet, then the princes, the heads the thousands of Israel, will gather themselves to you. When you blow an alarm, then the camps on the east will go forward. When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps on the south will take their journey. They will blow an alarm for their journeys.

But when the congregation is to be gathered together, blow, but don’t sound an alarm.

The sons of Aaron, the priests, will blow the trumpets. This will be a statute forever throughout your generations.

And if you go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresses you, then blow an alarm with the trumpets and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

Also in the day of your joy, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, that they may be to you for a memorial before your God. I am the Lord your God.

On the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony. And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran (place of caravans). They first took their journey according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

In first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his army was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, carrying the tabernacle.

And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his army was Elizur the son of Shedeur. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

And the Kohathites set forward, carrying the sanctuary: and the other set up the tabernacle as they came.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his army was Elishama the son of Ammihud. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rear guard of all the camps throughout their armies: and over his army was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran. And over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan. This is how the children of Israel took their journeys according to their armies, when they set forward.

And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying to the place of which the Lord said, I will give it to you: come with us, and we will do you good: for the Lord has spoken good concerning Israel. And he said to him, I will not go but I will go to my own land, and to my family.

And he said, Please don’t leave us for you know how we are to camp in the wilderness, and you will be our eyes. And if you go with us, what goodness the Lord does to us, we will do the same to you.

And they went from the mount of the Lord three days' journey. And the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.

And the cloud of the Lord was on them by day, when they went out of the camp. And when the ark set forward, Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let your enemies be scattered. Let those that hate you flee before you.

And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, to the many thousands of Israel.

Numbers 11

And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger burned and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed those at the edges of the camp. And the people cried to Moses; and when Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched. And he called the name of the place Taberah because the fire of the Lord burned among them.

And the mixed multitude among them fell to lusting: and the children of Israel wept again, saying, Who will give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish, we ate in Egypt freely, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, the garlic. But now our soul is dried away. There is nothing at all, but this manna, before our eyes. And the manna was like coriander seed, the color of bdellium. ‘Man at angels food.’ Psalm 78:25

The people went about, gathered it, ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil, wafers made with honey. Exodus 16:31 When the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.

Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent, and the anger of the Lord burned greatly and Moses was displeased (seeing bad). And Moses said to the Lord, Why have you done evil to your servant? Why haven’t I found grace in your sight, that you lay all the burden of all this people on me? Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them that you say to me, Carry them in your bosom, as a nursing father carries the nursing child, to the land you swore to their fathers? Where can I get flesh to give all this people? for they weep to me, saying, Give us flesh to eat.

I am not able to carry all this people alone. Iit is too heavy for me. If this is how you you treat me, kill me now. If I have found grace in your sight. Don’t let me see my evil.

And the Lord said to Moses, Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them to the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with you.

And I will come down and talk with you there: and I will take of the Spirit which is on you and will put it on them; and they will carry the burden of the people with you, so you won’t carry it alone.

And say to the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and you will eat flesh, for you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying, Who will give us flesh to eat? It was well with us in Egypt. The Lord will give you flesh, and you will eat it, not one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days, but a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils, and is loathsome to you, because you have despised the Lord who is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why did we come out of Egypt?

And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men; and you said, I will give them flesh to eat a whole month. Will the flocks and the herds be killed for them, to  have enough? or all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be enough for them?

And the Lord said to Moses, Is the Lord's hand short? You will see now whether my word will come to pass for you or not.

And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the Lord, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them around the tabernacle.

And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was on him, and gave it to the seventy elders and when the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied (spoke the words of God), and didn’t stop.

But two of the men stayed in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested on them; and they were of those that were written, but didn’t go out to the tabernacle. And they prophesied in the camp.

A young man ran, and told Moses, saying, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp. And Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. And Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? I would have all the Lord's people to be prophets, and would have the Lord would put His Spirit on them!

And Moses went into the camp, he and the elders of Israel. And a wind from the Lord brought quail from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, a day's journey (twenty miles) on this side, and a day's journey on the other side, surrounding the camp, three feet high on the face of the ground.

The people stood up all that day, all that night, and all the next day, gathering the quail. He that gathered least gathered 63 bushels and they spread them all around the camp. And while the flesh was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was burned against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very great plague.

And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah (graves of lust) because there they buried the people that lusted. And the people journeyed from Kibrothhattaavah to Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth..
